Meet Thomas E. O’Connor, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA
Thomas E. O’Connor, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA, is an experienced clinical audiologist with over 40 years experience in audiometric testing and fitting hearing aids. Before starting private practice in 2007, Mr. O’Connor was manager of the adult hearing aid services at the Hearing Rehabilitation Center for the University of Michigan Health Service for 12 years. He held the position of Clinical Supervisor in the Audiology Department of his Alumni school, Michigan State University for 5 years. Mr. O’Connor served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, for 10 years, providing a range of services including service as a Major during Desert Storm operations. Tom O’Connor is a member of American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and American Speech and Language Association (ASHA). He is Past-President of the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA). In August, 2011, Governor Rick Snyder appointment Mr. O’Connor to the Michigan Board of Audiology. The Board oversees Michigan’s 500 audiologists. Tom served 8 years on the Board, 7 years as Board Chairperson.
